My name is Rocky.

I am a small stone who lives deep inside the Earth. Every day is the same for me.

Me siento junto a mis amigos - otras rocas y piedras.

I sit next to my friends - other rocks and stones.

No nos movemos mucho.

We do not move much.

Solo observamos la lava ardiente fluir junto a nosotros. ¡Pero hoy es diferente!

We just watch the hot lava flow by us. But today is different!

Tres extrañas criaturas caen desde arriba.

Three strange creatures fall down from above.

No son rocas como nosotros.

They are not rocks like us.

Tienen brazos y piernas.

They have arms and legs.

¡Pueden caminar y hablar!

They can walk and talk!

"Hello,"

Quiero decir.

I want to say.

Pero las rocas no pueden hablar a estas criaturas.

But rocks cannot speak to these creatures.

Los tres visitantes miran a su alrededor con ojos grandes.

The three visitors look around with big eyes.

Uno es viejo de cabello blanco.

One is old with white hair.

Uno es joven y temeroso.

One is young and scared.

Uno es fuerte y valiente.

One is strong and brave.

Pasan caminando junto a mí y mis amigos de piedra.

They walk past me and my rock friends.

Ven nuestro mundo subterráneo.

They see our underground world.

Hay grandes cuevas.

There are big caves.

Hay ríos ardientes de fuego.

There are hot rivers of fire.

Hay plantas extrañas que brillan en la oscuridad.

There are strange plants that glow in the dark.

Los visitantes encuentran hongos gigantes tan grandes como árboles.

The visitors find giant mushrooms as big as trees.

Ven peces nadando en lagos subterráneos.

They see fish swimming in underground lakes.

Se encuentran con animales que no viven en la superficie de la Tierra. ¡Ojalá pudiera seguirlos!

They meet animals that do not live on top of the Earth. I wish I could follow them!

Pero soy solo una pequeña roca.

But I am just a small rock.

No puedo moverme.

I cannot move.

Los tres visitantes permanecen durante muchos días.

The three visitors stay for many days.

Exploran nuestro mundo secreto.

They explore our secret world.

Dibujan imágenes.

They draw pictures.

Escriben notas.

They write notes.

Están muy emocionados.

They are very excited.

Entonces un día, encuentran una manera de volver a subir.

Then one day, they find a way to go back up.

Una gran explosión de agua caliente los dispara hacia arriba, arriba, arriba hasta su mundo de las alturas.

A big explosion of hot water shoots them up, up, up to their world above.

Me entristece verlos partir.

I am sad to see them go.

Ahora estoy solo otra vez con mis amigos de piedra.

Now I am alone again with my rock friends.

Pero también soy feliz.

But I am happy too.

Por primera vez, las criaturas de arriba saben de nosotros.

For the first time, creatures from above know about us.

Conocen nuestro hermoso mundo subterráneo.

They know about our beautiful underground world.

Tal vez más visitantes vendrán algún día.

Maybe more visitors will come someday.

Tal vez ellos también sean mis amigos.

Maybe they will be my friends too.

Hasta entonces, esperaré aquí en el centro de la Tierra, soñando con aventuras.
