How does Mytoori help with language learning?

Mytoori uses a paragraph-by-paragraph reading approach so foreign language texts feel digestible, letting you focus on context and gradually build vocabulary.

What languages are supported?

Spanish and English are the defaults today, but the app supports multiple combinations and you can adjust your preferences in settings.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required. You can start reading immediately without registration. If you choose to register however you'll get the benefits of synching across devices.

How do I switch between languages while reading?

Toggle between languages by clicking the interface control or pressing the T key on your keyboard for quick switching.

Can I read at my own pace?

Yes. Use the up and down controls or the keyboard arrow keys to move between paragraphs at whatever speed feels comfortable.

What level of language proficiency do I need?

Stories focus on intermediate learners, but the paragraph-by-paragraph approach plus instant translation support make them comfortable for motivated beginners.

Is my reading progress saved?

Yes. Reading progress is saved on your device. If you register you'll get the benefits of synching across devices.

Can I suggest new stories or features?

Yes. We welcome feedback, and you can reach out through the contact options to suggest features or content you would love to see.

Audio playback

How do I listen to a sentence?

Tap the ear icon or press Space once the sentence is focused. Mytoori downloads a Piper voice for your learning language, then caches the clip for quick replays. Need a refresher? Visit the audio guide for screenshots and step-by-step tips.

Why is the audio silent or stuck at 0%?

Ensure a voice is selected via the settings button next to play, then confirm your browser allows autoplay with sound. Reloading the reader restarts the Piper session if a download stalled.

Does audio highlight each word?

Yes. Word highlighting mirrors the clip's progress so you can track pronunciation. Pausing keeps the highlight in place until you resume.

Installation & Troubleshooting

Don't see "Add to Home Screen"?

Make sure you're using Safari (not Chrome or another browser) and that you're on the main mytoori.com page.

Already installed but not working?

Try removing the app from your home screen and installing it again. Sometimes clearing Safari's cache can help too.
