Жив колись чоловік, який любив вивчати зорі.

Щовечора чоловік гуляв своїм містечком.

Він ніколи не дивився під ноги.

He never looked down at the ground.

Лише милувався прекрасним нічним небом.

He only looked up at the beautiful night sky.

Зорі були дуже цікаві для нього.

Однієї ночі він, як завжди, йшов і дивився вгору.

One night, the man was walking and looking up as usual.

Думав про зорі й місяць.

He was thinking about the stars and the moon.

Він так захопився небом, що не бачив, куди йде.

He was so busy watching the sky that he did not see where he was going.

Раптом чоловік упав у глибоку яму.

Suddenly, the man fell into a deep hole in the ground.

Він не зміг вибратися.

He could not get out.

Покликав на допомогу.

He called for help.

Його почув перехожий і прийшов допомогти.

A person heard him calling and came to help.

«Чому ти впав у цю яму?»

"Why did you fall into this hole?"

— запитав перехожий.

«Я дивився на зорі»,

— відповів чоловік.

the man said.

Перехожий засміявся.

«Ти стільки часу витрачаєш, споглядаючи далеке небо»,

«А простих речей біля власних ніг не помічаєш».

"But you cannot see the simple things right here on the ground near your feet."

Чоловік зрозумів, що мріяти — добре, але потрібно також звертати увагу на світ довкола.
