Two-Eyes has two normal eyes like you.

La madre y las hermanas son crueles con Dos-Ojos.

The mother and sisters are mean to Two-Eyes.

They say she looks too normal.

Too boring.

Le dan ropa vieja y comida mala.

They give her old clothes and bad food.

They make her clean all day.

Pero veo algo especial en Dos-Ojos.

But I see something special about Two-Eyes.

Ella es bondadosa.

She is kind.

Ayuda a los animales pequeños.

She helps small animals.

Ella canta canciones hermosas cuando trabaja.

She sings pretty songs when she works.

Un día, una anciana llega al jardín.

One day, an old woman comes to the garden.

She is really a fairy!

Ella le da a Dos-Ojos palabras mágicas.

She gives Two-Eyes magic words.

Cuando Dos-Ojos pronuncia las palabras, crece un hermoso árbol.

When Two-Eyes says the words, a beautiful tree grows.

The tree has golden apples!

Las hermanas quieren las manzanas doradas.

The sisters want the golden apples.

Pero las manzanas solo llegan a las manos de Dos-Ojos.

But the apples only come to Two-Eyes' hands.

When the sisters try to pick them, the apples fly away.

A prince rides by.

He sees the golden tree.

He meets Two-Eyes.

She is beautiful inside and outside.

He loves her kind heart.

El príncipe lleva a Dos-Ojos a su castillo.

The prince takes Two-Eyes to his castle.

Se casan.

They get married.

Ella se convierte en princesa.

She becomes a princess.

Las hermanas malvadas lloran.

The mean sisters cry.

Ahora se arrepienten.

They are sorry now.

Pero es demasiado tarde.

But it is too late.

Desde mi lugar en la pared, observo a Dos-Ojos en su nuevo hogar.

From my place on the wall, I watch Two-Eyes in her new home.

Ella es feliz.

She is happy.

Ella todavía canta.

She still sings.

Ella aún ayuda a los animales.

She still helps animals.

Sometimes normal is the most special thing of all.
