One day, I was making magic in my tower.

I mixed blue water with green powder.

Il fumo riempì la stanza.
Smoke filled the room.
Quando il fumo si diradò, un uomo strano si trovava davanti a me. L'uomo indossava pantaloni blu e una camicia bianca.
When the smoke went away, a strange man stood in front of me. The man wore blue pants and a white shirt.
Nessuno nel nostro regno indossava tali vestiti.
No one in our kingdom wore such clothes.
Aveva i capelli corti e scarpe bianche che sembravano molto strane.
He had short hair and white shoes that looked very odd.
"Dove sono?"
"Where am I?"

the man asked.
"Sei a Camelot,"
"You are in Camelot,"
Ho detto.
I said.
"Io sono Merlino il mago."
"I am Merlin the wizard."
L'uomo rise.
The man laughed.
"I maghi non sono reali."
"Wizards are not real."
"Questo deve essere un sogno."
"This must be a dream."
Ero arrabbiato.
I was angry.
"Non reale?"
"Not real?"
"Guarda questo!"
"Watch this!"
Ho fatto apparire un fiore dal nulla.
I made a flower appear from nothing.
L'uomo non era sorpreso.
The man was not surprised.
Prese una piccola scatola nera dalla tasca.
He took a small black box from his pocket.
Premette un pulsante.
He pushed a button.
La luce veniva dalla scatola!
Light came from the box!
Poi mi ha mostrato le foto della sua famiglia sulla scatola.
Then he showed me pictures of his family on the box.
"Questo è il mio telefono,"
"This is my phone,"
disse.
he said.
Vengo dall'anno 2024.
"I am from the year 2024."
"Vengo dall'anno 2024."
I was amazed.
Ero stupito.
This man had magic too!
Anche quest'uomo aveva la magia!
But his magic was different from mine.
L'uomo, di nome Tom, è rimasto con noi.
The man, named Tom, stayed with us.
Mostrò a Re Artù e ai cavalieri molte cose meravigliose.
He showed King Arthur and the knights many wonderful things.
Ha fatto il fuoco senza fiammiferi.
He made fire without matches.
Sapeva di una medicina che poteva guarire le persone rapidamente.
He knew about medicine that could heal people quickly.
Ma a Tom mancava casa sua.
But Tom missed his home.
Voleva tornare al 2024. Mi sentivo triste per il mio nuovo amico.
He wanted to go back to 2024. I felt sad for my new friend.
Quindi ho creato il mio incantesimo magico più potente.
So I made my strongest magic spell.
Ho mescolato polvere d'argento con lacrime di drago.
I mixed silver dust with dragon tears.

I said the magic words.

Tom disappeared.
I hope he made it home safely.

Sometimes I wonder if he tells people about his time with wizards and knights.
