Dois gatinhos viviam em lugares diferentes.
Two little cats lived in different places.
Fluffy vivia numa casa grande com camas macias e boa comida.
Fluffy lived in a big house with soft beds and good food.
Scratchy vivia na rua sem casa e com pouca comida.
Scratchy lived on the street with no home and little food.
Fluffy tinha tudo, mas se sentia triste.
Fluffy had everything but felt sad.
Os gatos ricos de sua vizinhança eram cruéis com os gatos pobres.
The rich cats in her neighborhood were mean to poor cats.
Eles tiravam comida dos gatos famintos.
They took food away from hungry cats.
Fluffy não gostou disso.
Fluffy did not like this.
Scratchy estava com fome, mas tinha muitos amigos.
Scratchy was hungry but had many friends.
Os gatos de rua ajudavam-se uns aos outros.
The street cats helped each other.

They shared food and stayed warm together.

But they were angry at the rich cats.

One day, the street cats got very angry.
Eles decidiram lutar contra os gatos ricos.
They decided to fight the rich cats.
"Nós também queremos comida!"
"We want food too!"
disseram eles.

"Queremos lugares quentes para dormir!"
"We want warm places to sleep!"
A briga foi grande e assustadora.
The fight was big and scary.
Muitos gatos se machucaram.
Many cats got hurt.
Fluffy viu suas amigas gatas ricas sendo cruéis.
Fluffy saw her rich cat friends being mean.
Ela se sentiu mal.
She felt bad.
Scratchy viu alguns gatos de rua muito furiosos.
Scratchy saw some street cats being too angry.
Eles machucaram gatos que não eram maus.
They hurt cats who were not bad.
Ele também se sentiu triste.
He felt sad too.

Then something happened.
Fluffy e Scratchy se encontraram perto de uma grande árvore.
