Smoke filled the room.

Quando a fumaça se dissipou, um homem estranho estava diante de mim. O homem vestia calças azuis e uma camisa branca.

When the smoke went away, a strange man stood in front of me. The man wore blue pants and a white shirt.

Ninguém em nosso reino usava tais roupas.

No one in our kingdom wore such clothes.

Ele tinha cabelos curtos e sapatos brancos que pareciam muito estranhos.

He had short hair and white shoes that looked very odd.

"Onde estou?"

"Where am I?"

perguntou o homem.

the man asked.

"Você está em Camelot,"

"You are in Camelot,"

eu disse.

I said.

"Eu sou Merlin, o mago."

"I am Merlin the wizard."

O homem riu.

The man laughed.

Os magos não são reais.

"Wizards are not real."

"Isto deve ser um sonho."

"This must be a dream."

Eu estava com raiva.

I was angry.

"Não é real?"

"Not real?"

"Veja só!"

"Watch this!"

Fiz uma flor aparecer do nada.

I made a flower appear from nothing.

O homem não se surpreendeu.

The man was not surprised.

Ele tirou uma pequena caixa preta do bolso.

He took a small black box from his pocket.

Ele apertou um botão.

He pushed a button.

Luz saiu da caixa!

Light came from the box!

Então ele me mostrou fotos de sua família na caixa.

Then he showed me pictures of his family on the box.

"Este é o meu telefone,"

"This is my phone,"

disse ele.

"Eu sou do ano 2024."

"I am from the year 2024."

Fiquei espantado.

I was amazed.

Este homem também tinha magia!

This man had magic too!

Mas a sua magia era diferente da minha.

But his magic was different from mine.

O homem, chamado Tom, ficou conosco.

The man, named Tom, stayed with us.

Ele mostrou ao Rei Artur e aos cavaleiros muitas coisas maravilhosas.

He showed King Arthur and the knights many wonderful things.

Ele fez fogo sem fósforos.

He made fire without matches.

Ele sabia sobre medicina que podia curar as pessoas rapidamente.

He knew about medicine that could heal people quickly.

Mas Tom sentia falta de casa.

But Tom missed his home.

Ele queria voltar para 2024. Senti pena do meu novo amigo.

He wanted to go back to 2024. I felt sad for my new friend.

Então eu fiz meu feitiço mais poderoso.

So I made my strongest magic spell.

Misturei pó de prata com lágrimas de dragão.

I mixed silver dust with dragon tears.

Pronunciei as palavras mágicas.

I said the magic words.

PUFF!

POOF!

Tom desapareceu.

Tom disappeared.

Espero que tenha chegado em casa em segurança.

I hope he made it home safely.

Às vezes me pergunto se ele conta às pessoas sobre o tempo que passou com magos e cavaleiros.

Sometimes I wonder if he tells people about his time with wizards and knights.

Será que acreditam nele?

Do they believe him?

Eu ainda tenho o telefone dele.

I still have his phone.

Mas a luz se foi há muito tempo.

But the light went away long ago.

Agora a guardo como uma lembrança do meu amigo do futuro.

Now I keep it as a reminder of my friend from the future.
