Tarzan of the Apes
Un bambino viene cresciuto dalle scimmie nella giungla africana dopo la morte dei suoi genitori, diventando da grande un uomo selvaggio molto forte. Quando degli sconosciuti arrivano nel suo territorio, la sua vita cambia per sempre mentre scopre la sua vera identità e il mondo oltre gli alberi.
Il mio nome è Kala. Sono una mamma gorilla.
My name is Kala. I am a mother gorilla.
Vivo nella foresta verde con la mia famiglia.
I live in the green forest with my family.
Un giorno, sento piangere un bambino.
One day, I hear a baby cry.
Il suono proviene da una piccola casa di legno.
The sound comes from a small house made of wood.
Entro dentro.
I go inside.
Vedo un piccolissimo bambino umano.
I see a tiny human baby.
Lui è solo.
He is alone.
I suoi genitori non ci sono più.
His parents are not here anymore.
Il bambino ha fame.
The baby is hungry.
Ha bisogno di amore.
He needs love.
Lo prendo in braccio.
I pick him up.
Smette di piangere.
He stops crying.
Mi guarda con occhi grandi.
He looks at me with big eyes.
Decido di portarlo a casa.
I decide to take him home.
Mio marito Kerchak è arrabbiato.
My husband Kerchak is angry.
"Questo non è il nostro bambino!"
"This is not our baby!"

he says.
"Lui è diverso!"
"He is different!"
Ma amo già il bambino.
But I love the baby already.
Lo chiamo Tarzan.
I call him Tarzan.
Lo nutro.
I feed him.
Gli insegno ad arrampicarsi sugli alberi.
I teach him to climb trees.
Gli mostro come trovare il cibo.
I show him how to find food.
Tarzan cresce in fretta.
Tarzan grows up fast.
Impara a dondolarsi da un albero all'altro.
He learns to swing from tree to tree.
Parla con gli animali.
He talks to the animals.
Lui può correre molto velocemente.
He can run very fast.
È forte come noi, ma sembra diverso.
He is strong like us, but he looks different.
Gli altri gorilla ridono di Tarzan.
The other gorillas laugh at Tarzan.
"Non hai peli!"
"You have no hair!"
dicono.
they say.
"Le tue braccia sono troppo corte!"
"Your arms are too short!"
Questo rende Tarzan triste.
This makes Tarzan sad.
Mi chiede,
He asks me,
"Perché sono diverso, Madre?"
"Why am I different, Mother?"
Gli dico,
I tell him,
Tu sei speciale.
"You are special."
"Tu sei speciale."
"You are my son."
"Tu sei mio figlio."
"That is all that matters."

One day, people come to our forest.
Un giorno, delle persone vengono nella nostra foresta.
They have the same skin as Tarzan.
Hanno la stessa pelle di Tarzan.
Tarzan sees them and is surprised.
Tarzan li vede ed è sorpreso.
"There are others like me!"
"Ci sono altri come me!"
he says.

But I am scared.

Will Tarzan leave me?

Will he go with the humans?

Tarzan looks at the people.
Tarzan guarda le persone.
Then he looks at me.

He hugs me tight.

"You are my real mother,"
"Tu sei la mia vera madre,"
he says.

"The forest is my home."

I am so happy.

Love makes a family, not how you look.
