Robinson Crusoe
Un jeune homme part en voyage en mer contre la volonté de ses parents, mais son navire est pris dans une terrible tempête. Il doit apprendre à survivre complètement seul dans un endroit loin de chez lui.

Je suis un arbre sur une petite île.
I am a tree on a small island.
J'ai vécu ici pendant cent ans.
I have lived here for one hundred years.
J'ai vu beaucoup de choses.
I have seen many things.
Un jour, une grande tempête arriva.
One day, a big storm came.
Le vent était très fort.
The wind was very strong.
La pluie était forte.
The rain was heavy.
J'ai regardé un navire se briser sur les rochers.
I watched a ship break on the rocks.
Un seul homme arriva sur ma plage.
Only one man came to my beach.
Il était trempé et effrayé.
He was wet and scared.
L'homme s'appelait Robinson.
The man's name was Robinson.
Il pleura pendant de nombreux jours.
He cried for many days.
Il fit le tour de mon île.
He walked around my island.
Il se parlait à lui-même.
He talked to himself.
Parfois il me parlait, mais il ne savait pas que je pouvais comprendre.
Sometimes he talked to me, but he did not know I could understand.
"Je suis seul,"
"I am alone,"
dit-il.
he said.
« Je mourrai ici. »
"I will die here."
Mais Robinson était intelligent.
But Robinson was smart.
Il construisit une maison avec le bois de son navire brisé.
He made a house with wood from his broken ship.
Il fit du feu.
He made fire.
Il pêcha du poisson.
He caught fish.
Il trouva des fruits sur mes branches.
He found fruit on my branches.
Mes noix de coco l'ont aidé à vivre.
My coconuts helped him live.
Robinson se lia d'amitié avec les animaux.
Robinson made friends with animals.
Un perroquet se posa sur mes feuilles.
A parrot sat on my leaves.
Le perroquet apprit à dire
The parrot learned to say
« Bonjour, Robinson ! »
"Hello, Robinson!"
Une famille de chèvres vivait près de mes racines.
A goat family lived near my roots.
Robinson leur donna des noms.
Robinson gave them names.
Les années passèrent.
Years passed.
Les cheveux de Robinson poussèrent et devinrent longs.
Robinson's hair grew long.
Ses vêtements devinrent vieux et déchirés.
His clothes became old and torn.
Mais il n'était plus triste.
But he was not sad anymore.
Il chantait des chansons.
He sang songs.
Il dansa.
He danced.
Il peignait des images sur les rochers.
He painted pictures on rocks.
Un matin, j'ai vu un navire au loin.
One morning, I saw a ship far away.
Robinson la vit aussi.
Robinson saw it too.
Il fit un grand feu.
He made a big fire.
Il agita les bras.
He waved his arms.
Le navire se rapprocha.
The ship came closer.
« Je peux rentrer chez moi maintenant »,
"I can go home now,"
me dit Robinson.
Robinson told me.
Mais cet endroit me manquera.
"But I will miss this place."
Robinson partit sur le navire.
Robinson left on the ship.
J'étais de nouveau seul.
I was alone again.
Mais parfois, quand le vent souffle à travers mes feuilles, je me souviens de mon ami.
But sometimes, when the wind blows through my leaves, I remember my friend.
J'espère qu'il se souvient de moi aussi.
I hope he remembers me too.
L'île est silencieuse maintenant.
The island is quiet now.
J'attends que le prochain visiteur trouve mon ombre.
I wait for the next visitor to find my shade.
