Pies i kogut zostają towarzyszami podróży i postanawiają spędzić noc w lesie. Gdy sprytny lis ich odkrywa, próbuje użyć swojej przebiegłości, by dostać to, czego chce.
Pies i kogut byli dobrymi przyjaciółmi.
A dog and a rooster were good friends.
Mieszkali razem i podróżowali razem.
They lived together and traveled together.
Pewnej nocy zatrzymali się, żeby spać w lesie.
One night, they stopped to sleep in the forest.
Kogut wleciał na wysokie drzewo.
The rooster flew up into a tall tree.
Pies spał pod drzewem.
The dog slept under the tree.
Rano kogut zaśpiewał swoją głośną pieśń.
In the morning, the rooster sang his loud song.
"Kukuryku!"
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Głodny lis usłyszał śpiewającego koguta.
A hungry fox heard the rooster singing.
Lis przyszedł do drzewa.
The fox came to the tree.
Spojrzał w górę na koguta.
He looked up at the rooster.
"Dzień dobry, piękny kogucie!"
"Good morning, beautiful rooster!"
powiedział lis.
said the fox.
"Masz taki wspaniały głos!"
"You have such a wonderful voice!"
"Proszę, zejdź, żebym mógł cię lepiej zobaczyć."
"Please come down so I can see you better."
Kogut był mądry.
The rooster was smart.
Wiedział, że lis chce go zjeść.
He knew the fox wanted to eat him.
"Dziękuję,"
"Thank you,"
powiedział kogut.
said the rooster.
"Wkrótce zejdę."
"I will come down soon."
"Ale najpierw, proszę, obudź mojego przyjaciela."
"But first, please wake up my friend."
"On śpi pod drzewem."
"He is sleeping under the tree."
Lis był podekscytowany.
The fox was excited.
Myślał, że dostanie dwa posiłki!
He thought he would get two meals!
Pobiegł do podstawy drzewa, żeby obudzić psa.
He ran to the bottom of the tree to wake up the dog.
Ale gdy lis się zbliżył, duży pies podskoczył.
But when the fox came close, the big dog jumped up.
Pies był bardzo zły.
The dog was very angry.
Przegonił lisa.
He chased the fox away.
Lis szybko uciekł do lasu.
The fox ran fast into the forest.
Nigdy nie wrócił.
He never came back.
Kogut zleciał z drzewa.
The rooster flew down from the tree.
Pies i kogut kontynuowali razem podróż, bezpieczni i szczęśliwi.
The dog and rooster continued their journey together, safe and happy.
