"Last week, I was so hungry."

Havia pão ao lado da minha cama.

"There was bread next to my bed."

Mas eu não queria estender a mão para pegá-lo.

"But I did not want to reach for it."

Fiquei com fome durante três dias.

"I stayed hungry for three days."

O terceiro filho não disse nada.

The third son said nothing.
