My name is GPS.
Sou um telefone falante que vive em um bolso.
I am a talking phone that lives in a pocket.
Hoje minha humana me pegou.
Today my human picked me up.
Ajude-me a encontrar o lugar bom,
"Help me find the good place,"
ela disse.
she said.
O nome dela é Chris. Liguei meu mapa.
Her name is Chris. I turned on my map.
Para onde você quer ir?
"Where do you want to go?"
perguntei.
I asked.
Eu não sei o endereço,
"I don't know the address,"
disse Chris.
Chris said.
Mas ouvi dizer que existe uma cidade linda em algum lugar.
"But I heard there is a beautiful city somewhere."
Um lugar sem tristeza.
"A place with no sadness."
Isso foi difícil.
This was hard.
Sou muito esperto, mas só conheço lugares reais.
I am very smart, but I only know real places.
Ruas e prédios.
Streets and buildings.
Não cidades mágicas.
Not magic cities.
Vamos tentar,
"Let's try,"
eu disse.
I said.
Ande em frente.
"Walk straight."
Chris caminhou.
Chris walked.
Logo chegamos a um grande buraco de lama.
Soon we came to a big mud hole.
Dê a volta,
"Go around,"
eu disse.
I said.
Mas Chris passou direto pela lama.
But Chris walked right through the mud.
Ela caiu.
She fell down.
Ficou toda suja.
She was very dirty.
Por que você não me ouviu?
"Why didn't you listen to me?"
perguntei.
I asked.
Às vezes o caminho difícil é o certo,
"Sometimes the hard way is the right way,"
ela disse.
she said.
Isso não fez sentido para mim.
This made no sense to me.
Eu sempre encontro o caminho fácil.
I always find the easy way.
Continuamos andando.
We walked more.
Encontramos um homem vendendo atalhos.
We met a man selling shortcuts.
Compre meu mapa!
"Buy my map!"
ele disse.
he said.
Chegue lá rápido!
"Get there fast!"
Sim!
"Yes!"
eu disse.
I said.
Compre!
"Buy it!"
Mas Chris disse não.
But Chris said no.
Alguns atalhos são armadilhas,
"Some shortcuts are tricks,"
ela me contou. Eu fiquei confuso.
she told me. I was confused.
Atalhos são bons.
Shortcuts are good.
É isso que eu faço. Subimos uma grande colina.
That is what I do. We climbed a big hill.
Minha bateria estava acabando.
My battery was getting low.
Preciso descansar,
"I need to rest,"
eu disse.
I said.
Ainda não,
"Not yet,"
disse Chris.
Chris said.
Olhe!
"Look!"
Ao longe eu vi luzes.
Far away, I saw lights.
Luzes bonitas e brilhantes.
Beautiful, bright lights.
Como uma cidade feita de estrelas.
Like a city made of stars.
Isso está nos meus mapas?
"Is that in my maps?"
perguntei.
I asked.
Eu conferi.
I checked.
Nada.
Nothing.
Alguns lugares,
"Some places,"
disse Chris,
Chris said,
você só encontra com o coração.
"you can only find with your heart."
Meus circuitos ficaram estranhos.
My circuits felt strange.
Quentes. Talvez eu estivesse aprendendo algo novo.
Warm. Maybe I was learning something new.
Pode me ensinar?
"Can you teach me?"
perguntei.
I asked.
Chris sorriu.
Chris smiled.
Sim, pequeno GPS.
"Yes, little GPS."
Vamos juntos.
"Let's go together."
Andamos em direção às luzes.
We walked toward the lights.
Parei de olhar para meus mapas.
I stopped looking at my maps.
Comecei a olhar para o céu.
I started looking at the sky.
