Os aldeões o ouviram.

The villagers heard him.

Correram morro acima com paus.

They ran up the hill with sticks.

Eles queriam ajudar o menino e salvar as ovelhas.

They wanted to help the boy and save the sheep.

Mas não havia lobo.

But there was no wolf.

O menino riu.

The boy laughed.

"Estava apenas brincando,"

"I was just playing,"

ele disse.

he said.

Os aldeões estavam furiosos.

The villagers were angry.

Eles voltaram para a aldeia.

They went back to the village.

No dia seguinte, o menino sentiu-se entediado novamente.

The next day, the boy felt bored again.

O menino estava apenas brincando.

The boy was just playing.

Os aldeões estavam muito zangados.

The villagers were very angry.

Eles voltaram para casa.

They went home.

No terceiro dia, um lobo de verdade veio.

On the third day, a real wolf came.

O lobo queria comer as ovelhas.

The wolf wanted to eat the sheep.

O menino estava assustado.

The boy was scared.

Ele gritou,

He shouted,

"Lobo!"

"Wolf!"

"Lobo!"

"Wolf!"

"Por favor, me ajudem!"

"Please help me!"

"Desta vez é real!"

"This time it's real!"

Mas os aldeões não vieram.

But the villagers did not come.

Eles pensaram que o menino estava brincando novamente.

They thought the boy was playing again.

O lobo comeu muitas ovelhas.

The wolf ate many sheep.

O menino chorou, mas ninguém o ajudou.

The boy cried, but no one helped him.
