He made himself invisible with science.
Agora não consegue voltar ao normal.
Now he cannot change back.
Não tem amigos além de mim. Um dia, uma garotinha chega à nossa casa.
He has no friends except me. One day, a little girl comes to our house.
Ela está perdida e chorando.
She is lost and crying.
Meu amigo invisível quer ajudá-la, mas tem medo.
My invisible friend wants to help her, but he is scared.

What if she runs away?

I bark at him.

Ele abre a porta devagar.
He opens the door slowly.
A menina não consegue vê-lo, mas ouve sua voz gentil.
The girl cannot see him, but she hears his kind voice.
Não tenha medo,
"Don't be afraid,"
ele diz.

A menina para de chorar.

My invisible friend walks the girl home.

The girl holds his invisible hand.
Ela não está mais assustada.
She is not scared anymore.
Quando chegamos à casa dela, ela diz,

"You are very kind."
Meu amigo sorri.
My friend smiles.

I can hear it in his voice.

Maybe being invisible is not so bad when you can still help people.
Naquela noite ele me dá petiscos extras.
That night, he gives me extra treats.
