Wiele myszy mieszkało w domu.

Many mice lived in a house.

They could not go out to find food.

Pewnego dnia wszystkie myszy spotkały się razem.

One day, all the mice met together.

Chciały porozmawiać o problemie z kotem.

They wanted to talk about the cat problem.

Stara mysz powiedziała:

An old mouse said,

"Musimy coś zrobić z tym kotem."

"We must do something about this cat."

"Jest dla nas zbyt niebezpieczny."

"It is too dangerous for us."

Młoda mysz powiedziała:

A young mouse said,

"Mam pomysł!"

"I have an idea!"

"Załóżmy kotowi dzwonek na szyję."

"Let's put a bell around the cat's neck."

"Kiedy kot się ruszy, dzwonek zadzwoni."

"When the cat moves, the bell will ring."

"Usłyszymy, że nadchodzi i uciekniemy."

"We will hear it coming and run away."

Wszystkie myszy uznały, że to wspaniały pomysł.

All the mice thought this was a wonderful idea.

They were very happy and excited.

Then a very old mouse stood up.

Nobody wanted to put the bell on the cat's neck.

Myszy poszły do domu.

The mice went home.

They still had the same problem with the cat.
