diz a mulher.

says the woman.

Salto para mais perto da janela.

I jump closer to the window.

Preciso ver o que acontece.

A menina entra.

The girl goes inside.

A casa está muito escura.

The house is very dark.

Há garrafas estranhas por toda parte.

There are strange bottles everywhere.

Um líquido verde borbulha nelas.

Green liquid bubbles in them.

"Você está com fome?"

"Are you hungry?"

pergunta a velha.

asks the old woman.

"Sim,"

"Yes,"

diz a menina.

says the girl.

A mulher lhe dá sopa.

The woman gives her soup.

Mas a sopa não é normal.

But the soup is not normal.

Ela brilha azul!

It glows blue!

A menina a bebe.

The girl drinks it.

De repente, seus cabelos se tornam prateados.

Suddenly, her hair becomes silver.

Seus olhos se tornam dourados.

Her eyes become gold.

asks the girl.

"You are becoming magic,"

diz a mulher.

says the woman.

"Assim como eu."

"Just like me."

Tenho medo.

I am scared.

Fujo rapidamente.

I run away fast.

No dia seguinte, eu volto.

The next day, I come back.

A casa está vazia.

The house is empty.

Nenhuma menina.

No girl.

Nenhuma mulher idosa.

No old woman.

Mas vejo algo estranho.

But I see something strange.

Há dois pares de pegadas na lama.

There are two pairs of footprints in the mud.

Eles caminham juntos para o interior da floresta profunda.

They walk away together into the deep forest.

Alguns dizem que a velha era má.

Some say the old woman was bad.

Mas acho que talvez ela estivesse solitária.

But I think maybe she was lonely.

Talvez ela só quisesse um amigo que fosse como ela.

Maybe she just wanted a friend who was like her.

Agora, quando a lua está cheia, ouço duas vozes cantando na floresta.

Now when the moon is full, I hear two voices singing in the forest.

Elas soam felizes.

They sound happy.
