Una bambina curiosa ignora gli avvertimenti dei suoi genitori e decide di visitare una misteriosa vecchia donna che vive da sola nella foresta. Quello che scopre nella strana casa cambierà tutto.

Oggi guardo una bambina camminare verso la casa buia.
Today I watch a small girl walk to the dark house.

Black smoke comes from the top.

She has red eyes and long black hair.

dice la donna.
says the woman.
"Entra."
"Come inside."
Mi avvicino saltando alla finestra.
I jump closer to the window.

La ragazza entra.
The girl goes inside.
La casa è molto buia.
The house is very dark.
Ci sono bottiglie strane dappertutto.
There are strange bottles everywhere.
Un liquido verde bolle dentro.
Green liquid bubbles in them.
"Hai fame?"
"Are you hungry?"
chiede la vecchia.
asks the old woman.
"Sì,"
"Yes,"
dice la ragazza.
says the girl.
La donna le dà la sua zuppa.
The woman gives her soup.
Ma la zuppa non è normale.
But the soup is not normal.

It glows blue!
La ragazza lo beve.
The girl drinks it.
All'improvviso, i suoi capelli diventano argentati.
Suddenly, her hair becomes silver.
I suoi occhi diventano dorati.
Her eyes become gold.

"What is happening to me?"
chiede la ragazza.
asks the girl.
"Stai diventando magico,"
"You are becoming magic,"
dice la donna.
says the woman.
"Proprio come me."
"Just like me."
Ho paura.
I am scared.
Scappo veloce.
I run away fast.
Il giorno dopo, torno.
The next day, I come back.
La casa è vuota.
The house is empty.
Nessuna ragazza.
No girl.
Nessuna vecchia donna.
No old woman.
But I see something strange.
Ci sono due paia di impronte nel fango.
There are two pairs of footprints in the mud.
Camminano insieme verso la foresta profonda.
They walk away together into the deep forest.
Alcuni dicono che la vecchia era cattiva.
Some say the old woman was bad.
Ma penso che forse era sola.
But I think maybe she was lonely.

Maybe she just wanted a friend who was like her.

Now when the moon is full, I hear two voices singing in the forest.
