Un médico de barco llamado Gulliver queda varado en islas misteriosas durante sus viajes por mar. Descubre mundos nuevos y extraños donde todo es completamente diferente a lo que él conoce.
Mi nombre es Lily. Soy una hormiga diminuta.
My name is Lily. I am a tiny ant.
Hoy quiero contarte sobre el día más extraño de mi vida.
Today I want to tell you about the strangest day of my life.
Caminaba por el bosque en busca de alimento.
I was walking in the forest looking for food.
De repente, vi algo enorme en el suelo.
Suddenly, I saw something huge on the ground.
¡Era más grande que un árbol!
It was bigger than a tree!
Tenía un rostro blanco y cabello amarillo en la parte superior.
It had a white face and yellow hair on top.
¡Estaba respirando!
It was breathing!
¡Oh no!
"Oh no!"
pensé.
I thought.
"¿Qué es este monstruo gigante?"
"What is this giant monster?"
Pero entonces el gigante abrió los ojos.
But then the giant opened his eyes.
Se veía muy confundido.
He looked very confused.
"¿Dónde estoy?"
"Where am I?"
dijo el gigante.
the giant said.
Su voz era como un trueno.
His voice was like thunder.
Fui muy valiente.
I was very brave.
Me acerqué a su oído.
I walked closer to his ear.
¡Hola, gigante!
"Hello, giant!"
Grité tan fuerte como pude.
I shouted as loud as I could.
"¡Estás en el Bosque de las Hormigas!"
"You are in Ant Forest!"
El gigante miró a su alrededor.
The giant looked around.
Me vio y sonrió.
He saw me and smiled.
"Hola, pequeña hormiga."
"Hello, little ant."
"Mi nombre es Gulliver."
"My name is Gulliver."
Estaba en un gran barco.
"I was on a big boat."
Hubo una tormenta.
"There was a storm."
Ahora estoy aquí.
"Now I am here."
Pronto, todos mis amigos hormigas vinieron a ver a Gulliver.
Soon, all my ant friends came to see Gulliver.
Nos subimos a sus brazos y piernas.
We climbed on his arms and legs.
¡Era tan grande!
He was so big!
Su dedo era más grande que todo mi cuerpo.
His finger was bigger than my whole body.
Gulliver era muy bondadoso.
Gulliver was very kind.
Nos ayudó a cargar hojas pesadas hasta nuestro hogar.
He helped us carry heavy leaves to our home.
Nos protegió de la lluvia con su mano.
He protected us from the rain with his hand.
Nos contó historias sobre su mundo donde todos son de tamaño gigante.
He told us stories about his world where everyone is giant-sized.
Le mostramos nuestra diminuta ciudad de hormigas.
We showed him our tiny ant city.
Le dimos dulces gotas de miel.
We gave him sweet drops of honey.
Pero las gotas de miel eran demasiado pequeñas para él.
But the honey drops were too small for him.
¡Necesitaba miles de ellas!
He needed thousands of them!
Después de tres días, algunas personas gigantes vinieron buscando a Gulliver.
After three days, some giant people came looking for Gulliver.
Se lo llevaron en un gran barco.
They took him away in a big boat.
¡Adiós, pequeños amigos!
"Goodbye, little friends!"
Nos gritó Gulliver. Ahora, cuando les cuento a mis hijos sobre gigantes, piensan que estoy inventando historias.
Gulliver called to us. Now when I tell my children about giants, they think I am making stories.
Pero yo sé la verdad.
But I know the truth.
A veces lo grande y lo pequeño pueden ser amigos.
Sometimes big and small can be friends.
