Un grupo de valientes colonos viaja hacia el oeste para construir una nueva vida en la frontera americana salvaje. Enfrentan desafíos peligrosos y deben trabajar juntos para sobrevivir en la naturaleza.

"We will build a town here,"

said the man with the red hat.
"¿Pero dónde dormiremos?"
"But where will we sleep?"

said the old grandfather.
"Como hacen las personas valientes."
"Like brave people do."
Los observaba todos los días.
I watched them every day.
Cortaron a mis amigos árboles.
They cut down my tree friends.
Estaba triste, pero comprendí.
I was sad, but I understood.
Necesitaban madera para las casas.
They needed wood for houses.
El primer invierno fue duro.
The first winter was hard.
La nieve cayó profunda.
Snow fell deep.
La comida escaseaba.
Food was little.
El bebé lloraba por las noches.
The baby cried at night.

I wanted to help, but I am just a tree.

"Maybe we should go back,"

Spring came.
Plantaron semillas.
They planted seeds.
Les di sombra.
I gave them shade.

Slowly, the town grew.
Llegó más gente.
More people came.
Los niños jugaban bajo mis ramas.
Children played under my branches.
Pasaron los años.
Years passed.

The small town became big.

People forgot the hard times.

They forgot they were once scared.
