The Dolphins, the Whales, and the Sprat
Cuando los delfines y las ballenas empiezan a pelear en el océano, un pequeño espadín piensa que puede ayudar a resolver su gran problema. Pero a veces los peces pequeños deberían mantenerse fuera de las batallas grandes.
Los delfines y las ballenas estaban luchando.
The dolphins and whales were fighting.
Lucharon durante mucho tiempo en el mar.
They fought for a long time in the sea.
El agua salpicó por todas partes.
The water splashed everywhere.
Un pequeño pez llamado espadín vio la gran pelea.
A small fish called a sprat saw the big fight.
El espadín quería ayudar a detener la pelea.
The sprat wanted to help stop the fighting.
Así que el pequeño pez nadó entre los grandes animales marinos.
So the little fish swam between the big sea animals.
¡Dejen de pelear!
"Stop fighting!"
dijo el arenque.
said the sprat.
"¡Puedo ayudarte a hacer las paces!"
"I can help you make peace!"
Los delfines y las ballenas dejaron de pelear.
The dolphins and whales stopped fighting.
Miraron al diminuto espadín.
They looked at the tiny sprat.
Entonces comenzaron a reír.
Then they started to laugh.
"Eres demasiado pequeño,"
"You are too small,"
dijo un delfín.
said a dolphin.
"Esta lucha no es para ti."
"This fight is not for you."
"Vete, pececito,"
"Go away, little fish,"
dijo una ballena.
said a whale.
"Los grandes problemas necesitan grandes animales para resolverlos."
"Big problems need big animals to solve them."
El espadín se sintió triste y se alejó nadando.
The sprat felt sad and swam away.
Los delfines y las ballenas volvieron a luchar.
The dolphins and whales went back to fighting.
El pequeño espadín aprendió que a veces las criaturas pequeñas no deben tratar de resolver grandes problemas que no son suyos.
The little sprat learned that sometimes small creatures should not try to solve big problems that are not theirs.
