The Riddle
Un giovane studente affronta una sfida misteriosa che potrebbe cambiare tutto, ma prima deve risolvere un antico enigma che ha messo in difficoltà molti prima di lui. Il tempo sta per scadere, e la risposta giace nascosta sotto gli occhi di tutti.
Il mio nome è Specchio Magico.
My name is Magic Mirror.
Vivo sulla parete nella stanza della regina.
I live on the wall in the queen's room.
Ogni giorno, vedo tutto.
Every day, I see everything.
Sento tutto.
I hear everything.
Oggi ho una grande storia da raccontarvi.
Today, I have a big story to tell you.
La regina viene da me ogni mattina.
The queen comes to me every morning.
Lei chiede,
She asks,
"Specchio, specchio delle mie brame, chi è la più bella del reame?"
"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most beautiful of all?"
Dico sempre,
I always say,
"Tu sei, mia regina."
"You are, my queen."
Questo la rende felice.
This makes her happy.
Ma oggi è diverso.
But today is different.
Oggi, devo dire la verità.
Today, I must tell the truth.
C'è una giovane ragazza di nome Biancaneve.
There is a young girl named Snow White.
Lei è più bella della regina ora.
She is more beautiful than the queen now.
La regina fa la sua domanda.
The queen asks her question.
Prendo un respiro profondo.
I take a deep breath.
"Sei bellissima, mia regina."
"You are beautiful, my queen."
"Ma Biancaneve è la più bella di tutte."
"But Snow White is the most beautiful of all."
Il viso della regina diventa rosso.
The queen's face becomes red.
Lei è molto arrabbiata.
She is very angry.
Mi lancia una scarpa.
She throws a shoe at me.
Colpisce la mia faccia di vetro.
It hits my glass face.
Ora ho una crepa.
Now I have a crack.
"Quella ragazza deve andarsene!"
"That girl must go away!"

the queen shouts.

She calls her hunter.
"Porta Biancaneve nella foresta."
"Take Snow White to the forest."
Lei non può tornare.
"She cannot come back."

I watch the hunter take Snow White away.

I feel sad.

The girl is kind and good.
Lei non si merita questo.
She does not deserve this.

Later, the queen comes back.

She asks her question again.
Guardo il suo viso arrabbiato.
I look at her angry face.

I think about Snow White in the dark forest.
