The Invisible Man
Un scientifique brillant découvre comment se rendre complètement invisible, mais réalise bientôt que ce pouvoir extraordinaire comporte des dangers inattendus. Alors qu'il lutte pour contrôler sa nouvelle capacité, il doit affronter les conséquences terrifiantes de son expérience scientifique.
Mon nom est Spot. Je suis un chien.
My name is Spot. I am a dog.
Je vis avec un homme, mais personne ne peut le voir.
I live with a man, but no one can see him.
Chaque matin, je me réveille et je remue la queue.
Every morning, I wake up and wag my tail.
La gamelle se remplit d'elle-même.
The food bowl fills up by itself.
Enfin, pas vraiment tout seul.
Well, not really by itself.
C'est mon ami invisible qui le fait.
My invisible friend does it.
Les autres pensent que je suis fou.
Other people think I am crazy.
« Regarde ce chien, »
"Look at that dog,"
disent-ils.
they say.
Il parle dans le vide.
"He talks to the air."
Mais je sais mieux que cela.
But I know better.
Je peux le sentir.
I can smell him.
Je peux l'entendre.
I can hear him.
Quand il me caresse, je sens ses mains chaudes.
When he pets me, I feel his warm hands.
Mon ami invisible est très triste.
My invisible friend is very sad.
Il s'est rendu invisible grâce à la science.
He made himself invisible with science.
Maintenant il ne peut plus redevenir visible.
Now he cannot change back.
Il n'a pas d'amis à part moi. Un jour, une petite fille vient chez nous.
He has no friends except me. One day, a little girl comes to our house.
Elle est perdue et pleure.
She is lost and crying.
Mon ami invisible veut l'aider, mais il a peur.
My invisible friend wants to help her, but he is scared.
Et si elle s'enfuit ?
What if she runs away?
Je lui aboie dessus.
I bark at him.
Aide-la !
"Help her!"
dis-je avec mes aboiements.
I say with my barks.
Il ouvre la porte lentement.
He opens the door slowly.
La jeune fille ne peut pas le voir, mais elle entend sa voix bienveillante.
The girl cannot see him, but she hears his kind voice.
« N'aie pas peur, »
"Don't be afraid,"
dit-il.
he says.
« Je vais t'aider à retrouver ton foyer. »
"I will help you find your home."
La fille cesse de pleurer.
The girl stops crying.
Elle ne peut pas le voir, mais elle se sent en sécurité.
She cannot see him, but she feels safe.
Parfois, on n'a pas besoin de voir quelqu'un pour savoir qu'il est bon.
Sometimes you don't need to see someone to know they are good.
Mon ami invisible raccompagne la fille chez elle.
My invisible friend walks the girl home.
Je marche à côté d'eux deux.
I walk beside them both.
La fille tient sa main invisible.
The girl holds his invisible hand.
Elle n'a plus peur.
She is not scared anymore.
Quand nous arrivons chez elle, elle dit,
When we get to her house, she says,
« Merci, ami invisible. »
"Thank you, invisible friend."
"Tu es très gentil."
"You are very kind."
Mon ami sourit.
My friend smiles.
Je peux l'entendre dans sa voix.
I can hear it in his voice.
Peut-être qu'être invisible n'est pas si mal quand on peut encore aider les gens.
Maybe being invisible is not so bad when you can still help people.
Ce soir-là, il me donne des friandises supplémentaires.
That night, he gives me extra treats.
Nous sommes tous les deux heureux.
We are both happy.
