"For you and Mama. When you get old like Papa, you can eat from it too."

Le visage du père blêmit.

The father's face turns white.

La mère se couvre la bouche de ses mains.

The mother covers her mouth with her hands.

Cette nuit-là, ils ramènent Papa à la grande table.

That night, they bring Papa back to the big table.

On lui redonne la belle vaisselle.
