La volpe e l'uva

C'era una volta, in una foresta lussureggiante, una volpe astuta.

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a clever fox.

Questa volpe era conosciuta ovunque per il suo acume e la sua natura scaltra.

This fox was known far and wide for his sharp wit and cunning nature.

Un pomeriggio di sole, mentre vagava per il bosco, si imbatté in un bellissimo vigneto pieno di uva matura e succosa. Gli occhi della volpe si spalancarono per la gioia quando vide l'uva brillare alla luce del sole.

One sunny afternoon, as he was wandering through the woods, he came across a beautiful vineyard filled with ripe, juicy grapes. The fox's eyes widened with delight as he saw the grapes glistening in the sunlight.

Oh, che meraviglia!" pensò.

"Oh, how wonderful!" he thought.

Quell'uva sembra così deliziosa.

"Those grapes look so delicious.

Devo averli!" Provò a saltare per raggiungere l'uva, ma era troppo in alto.

I must have them!" He tried to jump and reach the grapes, but they were too high.

Ci riprovò, saltando con tutte le sue forze, ma ancora non riusciva a raggiungerli.

He tried again, leaping with all his might, but still, he couldn't reach them.

La volpe ci provò ancora una volta, mettendo tutta la sua forza nel salto, ma ahimè, l'uva rimase fuori dalla sua portata. Sentendosi stanco e un po' deluso, la volpe si sedette e guardò l'uva.

The fox tried one more time, putting all his strength into the jump, but alas, the grapes remained out of his reach. Feeling tired and a bit disappointed, the fox sat down and looked up at the grapes.

He thought for a moment and then said to himself, "Well, I didn't really want those grapes anyway.

They're probably sour and not worth the effort." With that, the fox walked away, feeling content with his decision.

E così imparò che a volte è meglio apprezzare ciò che si può avere piuttosto che desiderare ciò che non si può avere. E questa, miei cari studenti, è la storia della volpe e dell'uva.

And so, he learned that sometimes, it's better to appreciate what you can have rather than desire what you can't. And that, my dear students, is the story of the fox and the grapes.

Ci insegna che quando non possiamo avere qualcosa, potremmo convincerci che non lo volevamo fin dall'inizio.

It teaches us that when we can't have something, we might convince ourselves that we didn't want it in the first place.
