My name is Sparkle.

I am a small fairy who works at the Fairy Post Office.

Every day, I read all the letters that fly through our magic mailbox.

The Fairy Queen is looking for a new best friend.

She put up signs everywhere:

"WANTED: Someone brave and kind to help me fight the mean Shadow Dragon."

Many people came to try.
Per primo arrivò Sir Armatura-Splendente.
First came Sir Shiny-Armor.
Era molto orgoglioso.
He was very proud.
"Sono il più forte!"
"I am the strongest!"
disse.
he said.
Ma quando vide un piccolo ragno, urlò e scappò via.
But when he saw a tiny spider, he screamed and ran away.
Poi arrivò la Principessa Capelli-Perfetti.
Next came Princess Perfect-Hair.
Lei era molto bella.
She was very beautiful.
"Sono la più bella!"
"I am the prettiest!"
disse lei.

Ma quando vide un bambino sporco che piangeva, passò oltre senza aiutarlo.
But when she saw a dirty, crying child, she walked past without helping.
Poi arrivò una giovane ragazza di nome Una.
Then came a young girl named Una.
Indossava vestiti semplici e portava una piccola borsa.
She wore simple clothes and carried a small bag.
Lei non era la più forte o la più bella.
She was not the strongest or the prettiest.
Ma lei aveva qualcosa di speciale - un cuore gentile.
But she had something special - a kind heart.
Una vide il bambino che piangeva che la Principessa Capelli-Perfetti ignorò.
Una saw the crying child that Princess Perfect-Hair ignored.

Una stopped and gave the child her lunch.

The Fairy Queen was watching from her cloud.

She smiled big.

Together, Una and the Fairy Queen went to fight the Shadow Dragon.

The dragon was huge and scary.
But Una was not afraid.
She knew that being brave means helping others, not being perfect.
Una spoke to the dragon with kindness.
"Perché sei così arrabbiato?"
"Why are you so angry?"
lei chiese.
she asked.
The dragon started to cry.
"Everyone runs from me."
"Tutti scappano da me."
"I am lonely."
"Sono solo."
Una and the Fairy Queen helped the dragon make friends.

The shadow became light.

The kingdom was happy again.

Now Una lives in the fairy castle.

She still helps everyone she meets.
