The Lioness
Una giovane donna scopre un antico segreto che la collega al potere selvaggio dei leoni. Deve imparare a controllare questo dono pericoloso prima che distrugga tutto ciò che ama.
Una leonessa viveva nella foresta con i suoi cuccioli.
A mother lion lived in the forest with her baby cubs.
Li amava molto e li teneva al sicuro.
She loved them very much and kept them safe.
Un giorno, una volpe venne in visita.
One day, a fox came to visit.
La volpe era molto orgogliosa dei suoi sette cuccioli di volpe.
The fox was very proud of her seven baby foxes.
Ha parlato e parlato di tutti i suoi figli.
She talked and talked about all her children.
"Ho seven bellissimi bambini,"
"I have seven beautiful babies,"
disse la volpe.
said the fox.
"Guarda quanti figli ho!"
"Look how many children I have!"
"Quanti bambini hai?"
"How many babies do you have?"
La leonessa guardò i suoi due piccoli cuccioli.
The mother lion looked at her two small cubs.
Lei sorrise dolcemente.
She smiled softly.
"Ho solo due cuccioli,"
"I have only two cubs,"
disse la leonessa.
said the lioness.
La volpe rise.
The fox laughed.
Solo due?
"Only two?"
Ne ho sette!
"I have seven!"
Sono così fortunato/a ad avere molti figli.
"I am so lucky to have many children."
La leonessa rimase in silenzio per un momento.
The lioness stayed quiet for a moment.
Poi disse,
Then she said,
Sì, hai sette figli.
"Yes, you have seven children."
Ma i miei figli sono leoni.
"But my children are lions."
La volpe smise di parlare.
The fox stopped talking.
Capì cosa intendeva la leonessa.
She understood what the lioness meant.
Non si tratta di quanti figli hai.
It is not about how many children you have.
Si tratta di chi sono.
It is about who they are.
La leonessa era orgogliosa dei suoi cuccioli.
The lioness was proud of her cubs.
Crescerebbero per diventare leoni forti e coraggiosi.
They would grow up to be strong and brave lions.
A volte avere meno di qualcosa di speciale è meglio che avere molte cose ordinarie.
Sometimes having fewer of something special is better than having many ordinary things.
