The Iron Stove
Una joven se pierde en un bosque oscuro y descubre una misteriosa estufa de hierro que habla. La estufa le promete ayudarla a encontrar el camino a casa, pero solo si acepta regresar y casarse con quien esté dentro.
Mi nombre es Sparky.
My name is Sparky.
Soy una estufa mágica.
I am a magic stove.
Vivo en un bosque oscuro.
I live in a dark forest.
Un día, una bruja malvada me echó un hechizo.
One day, a bad witch put a spell on me.
Me hizo parecer una vieja estufa de hierro.
She made me look like an old iron stove.
¡Pero yo soy realmente un príncipe hermoso!
But I am really a handsome prince!
¡Ayúdame!
"Help me!"
Llamo a la gente que pasa.
I call to people who walk by.
¡Estoy atrapado dentro de esta estufa!
"I am trapped inside this stove!"

Most people run away.

They think I am scary.
Un día, una niña bondadosa llamada Rosa escucha mi voz.
One day, a kind girl named Rosa hears my voice.
Se detiene y escucha.
She stops and listens.

"Who are you?"

she asks.
"Soy el Príncipe Alex,"
"I am Prince Alex,"
digo.
I say.
"Una bruja me atrapó en esta estufa."
"A witch trapped me in this stove."

"Please help me!"
Rosa no tiene miedo.
Rosa is not afraid.
Se sienta junto a mí.
She sits down next to me.
¿Cómo puedo ayudarte?
"How can I help you?"
pregunta ella.
she asks.
"Debes besar la puerta del horno,"
"You must kiss the stove door,"
digo.
I say.
Entonces el hechizo se romperá.
"Then the spell will break."
Rosa piensa que esto es muy extraño.
Rosa thinks this is very strange.
Pero quiere ayudar.
But she wants to help.
Cierra los ojos y besa la fría puerta de hierro.
She closes her eyes and kisses the cold iron door.
¡PUF!
POOF!
El humo púrpura llena el aire.
Purple smoke fills the air.
La estufa se hace pedazos.
The stove breaks into pieces.
¡Soy libre!
I am free!
¡Soy un príncipe verdadero otra vez!
I am a real prince again!
"¡Gracias, Rosa!"
"Thank you, Rosa!"

I say.
¡Me salvaste!
"You saved me!"
Rosa sonríe.
Rosa smiles.
"De nada, Príncipe Alex."
"You are welcome, Prince Alex."
"¿Te casarías conmigo?"
"Will you marry me?"
pregunto.
I ask.
¡Sí!
"Yes!"
dice ella.
she says.
Tenemos una gran boda.
We have a big wedding.
Todo el reino viene a celebrar.
Everyone in the kingdom comes to celebrate.
Rosa se convierte en princesa.
Rosa becomes a princess.
¡Y nunca más tendré que ser una estufa!
And I never have to be a stove again!
