The Kid and the Wolf
Un giovane capretto si allontana dalla sua famiglia e incontra un lupo affamato nella foresta. Il ragazzo intelligente deve usare la sua astuzia per sopravvivere a questo pericoloso incontro.

A young goat lived on a high rock.
Si sentiva molto al sicuro lassù.
He felt very safe up there.
La capra guardò in basso e vide un grosso lupo che camminava sotto.
The goat looked down and saw a big wolf walking below.
La piccola capra rise del lupo.
The little goat laughed at the wolf.
Non puoi prendermi!
"You cannot catch me!"
gridò.
he called out.
Sono troppo in alto qui.
"I am too high up here."
"Sei troppo lento e stupido!"
"You are too slow and stupid!"
Il lupo guardò in alto verso la capra.
The wolf looked up at the goat.
Sorrise e disse,
He smiled and said,
"Caprettina, pensi di essere molto coraggiosa."
"Little goat, you think you are very brave."
Ma non sei tu quello che è coraggioso.
"But it is not you who is brave."
È l'alta roccia che ti mette al sicuro.
"It is the high rock that makes you safe."
"Se tu fossi qui con me, non diresti cose del genere."
"If you were down here with me, you would not say such things."
La giovane capra diventò silenziosa.
The young goat became quiet.
Sapeva che il lupo aveva ragione.
He knew the wolf was right.
Il luogo in cui ti trovi può farti sentire coraggioso, ma questo non ti rende veramente coraggioso.
The place where you stand can make you feel brave, but that does not make you truly brave.
