Quattro buoi vivevano insieme pacificamente in un prato, rimanendo sempre vicini per proteggersi a vicenda dal pericolo. Un leone affamato li osservava da vicino, aspettando il momento perfetto per attaccare.
Quattro buoi vivevano in un campo.
Four oxen lived in a field.
Erano migliori amici.
They were best friends.
Sono sempre rimasti insieme.
They always stayed together.
Hanno mangiato l'erba insieme.
They ate grass together.
Camminarono insieme.
They walked together.

They slept together.
Un leone affamato viveva vicino al campo.
A hungry lion lived near the field.
Voleva mangiare i buoi.
He wanted to eat the oxen.
Ma i quattro buoi stavano sempre vicini.
But the four oxen always stood close together.
Quando il leone si avvicinò, puntarono le loro corna verso di lui.
When the lion came near, they pointed their horns at him.

The lion was afraid of their sharp horns.
