Un gruppo di coraggiosi coloni viaggia verso ovest per costruire una nuova vita nella selvaggia frontiera americana. Affrontano sfide pericolose e devono lavorare insieme per sopravvivere nella natura selvaggia.

My name is Old Oak.
Ho 200 anni.
I am 200 years old.
Ho visto molte cose.
I have seen many things.
Tanto tempo fa questa terra era silenziosa.
Long ago, this land was quiet.
Qui vivevano solo conigli e uccelli.
Only rabbits and birds lived here.
Il vento cantava tra le mie foglie.
The wind sang through my leaves.
La vita era tranquilla.
Life was peaceful.
Poi arrivarono loro.
Then they came.
Le prime persone.
The first people.
Avevano grandi sogni e borse piccole.
They had big dreams and small bags.
Guardavano la terra vuota e sorridevano.
They looked at the empty land and smiled.
Costruiremo una città qui,
"We will build a town here,"
disse l'uomo dal cappello rosso.
said the man with the red hat.
Ma dove dormiremo?
"But where will we sleep?"
chiese la donna con il bambino.
asked the woman with the baby.
Sotto le stelle,
"Under the stars,"
disse il vecchio nonno.
said the old grandfather.
Come fanno i coraggiosi.
"Like brave people do."
Li osservavo ogni giorno.
I watched them every day.
Tagliavano i miei amici alberi.
They cut down my tree friends.
Ero triste, ma capivo.
I was sad, but I understood.
Avevano bisogno di legna per le case.
They needed wood for houses.
Il primo inverno fu duro.
The first winter was hard.
La neve cadeva alta.
Snow fell deep.
Il cibo era poco.
Food was little.
Il bambino piangeva di notte.
The baby cried at night.
Volevo aiutare, ma sono solo un albero.
I wanted to help, but I am just a tree.
Forse dovremmo tornare indietro,
"Maybe we should go back,"

"No,"

Spring came.

They planted seeds.

I gave them shade.

Slowly, the town grew.
Arrivarono altre persone.
More people came.
I bambini giocavano sotto i miei rami.
Children played under my branches.
Passarono gli anni.
Years passed.
La piccola città divenne grande.
The small town became big.
La gente dimenticò i tempi difficili.
People forgot the hard times.
Dimenticarono di essere stati spaventati.
They forgot they were once scared.
Ma io ricordo tutto.
But I remember everything.
Ricordo il loro coraggio.
I remember their courage.
Ricordo la loro speranza.
I remember their hope.
Arrivano ancora persone nuove.
New people still come.
Guardano gli edifici alti e le strade affollate.
They look at the big buildings and busy streets.
Non conoscono la storia.
They don't know the story.
Ma io sì.
But I know.
