they said.

El trompetista estaba asustado.

The trumpeter was scared.

"Por favor, no me hagas daño,"

"Please don't hurt me,"

dijo él.

he said.

"Nunca peleé con nadie."

"I never fought anyone."

"Nunca lastimé a nadie."

"I never hurt anyone."

"Solo toco música."

"I only play music."

"Mira, no tengo espada."

"Look, I have no sword."

"No tengo pistola."

"I have no gun."

"Solo tengo mi trompeta."

"I only have my trumpet."

Los soldados enemigos se rieron.

The enemy soldiers laughed.

"Esa es exactamente la razón por la que te mataremos,"

"That is exactly why we will kill you,"

dijeron.

they said.

"No peleas, pero tu música hace valientes a nuestros enemigos."

"You do not fight, but your music makes our enemies brave."

Tu trompeta los llama a la batalla.

"Your trumpet calls them to battle."

Tu música les ayuda a luchar contra nosotros.

"Your music helps them fight against us."

"Eres más peligroso que un soldado con espada."

"You are more dangerous than a soldier with a sword."

El joven trompetista se dio cuenta de su error.

The young trumpeter realized his mistake.

Pensó que estaba a salvo porque no luchó.

He thought he was safe because he did not fight.

Pero aprendió que ayudar a otros a hacer cosas malas también te hace culpable.

But he learned that helping others do wrong things makes you guilty too.
