A wolf and a fox were walking together.

They started to argue about who was more important.

"I am stronger than you,"

"But I am smarter than you,"
dijo el zorro.
said the fox.

They argued louder and louder.

An ape was sitting in a tree.

He heard them fighting.

The ape looked down at them.

"I will tell you what I think,"

The wolf and fox waited to hear his answer.
"Lobo, no eres tan bueno como crees que eres,"
"Wolf, you are not as good as you think you are,"
dijo el simio.
said the ape.
"Y zorro, no eres tan astuto como crees que eres."
"And fox, you are not as clever as you think you are."
El lobo y el zorro se quedaron en silencio.
The wolf and fox became quiet.
Se alejaron sintiéndose necios.
They walked away feeling foolish.
El simio los observó marcharse.
The ape watched them go.
