C'est une histoire simple de trois amis qui visitent un café. C'est léger et se concentre sur l'interaction.
Les trois amis entrèrent dans le petit café du coin.
The three friends walked into the small café on the corner.
Le soleil du matin est entré par les fenêtres.
The morning sun came through the windows.
Il a fait des carrés de lumière sur le sol en bois.
It made squares of light on the wooden floor.
Ils s'assirent à une table près de la fenêtre.
They sat at a table near the window.
La rue était bondée.
The street was busy outside.
Les gens passaient avec leurs journaux et leurs sacs.
People walked past with their newspapers and bags.
"Bonjour", dit la serveuse.
"Good morning," said the waitress.
Elle était jeune avec des cheveux noirs courts.
She was young with short dark hair.
Elle a souri.
She smiled.
" Quelle belle journée, n'est-ce pas? " " Oui ", dit Anna.
"Beautiful day, isn't it?" "Yes," said Anna.
"Beaucoup mieux qu'hier".
"Much better than yesterday."
"La pluie était terrible", dit la serveuse.
"The rain was terrible," the waitress said.
"Je me suis complètement mouillé en allant au travail".
"I got completely wet walking to work."
"Au moins, il fait soleil maintenant", dit Tom. La serveuse a sorti son petit carnet.
"At least it's sunny now," said Tom. the waitress took out her small notebook.
"Que puis-je vous offrir?" "Un café pour moi", dit Anna.
"What can I get you?" "Coffee for me," said Anna.
"Noir" Je sais.
"Black."
"Même ici", dit Tom. "Je veux du café au lait", dit Sarah.
"Same here," said Tom. "I'll have coffee with milk," said Sarah.
"Et avez-vous des gâteaux?" "Nous avons du gâteau au chocolat et du gâteau au citron", dit la serveuse.
"And do you have any cakes?" "We have chocolate cake and lemon cake," the waitress said.
"Les deux sont très bons.
"Both are very good.
J'ai mangé le gâteau au chocolat hier".
I had the chocolate cake yesterday."
"Est-ce que c'était bon?" demanda Sarah. "Très bien.
"Was it good?" asked Sarah. "Very good.
Doux mais pas trop doux.
Sweet but not too sweet."
"Je vais essayer le gâteau au chocolat".
"I'll try the chocolate cake then."
"Qui d'autre veut du gâteau?" demanda la serveuse.
"Anyone else want cake?" the waitress asked.
Anna a regardé Tom.
Anna looked at Tom.
Tom a regardé Anna. "Pourquoi pas?" dit Anna.
Tom looked at Anna. "Why not?" said Anna.
"Deux gâteaux au chocolat".
"Two chocolate cakes."
"Parfait", dit la serveuse.
"Perfect," said the waitress.
Elle a écrit dans son carnet.
She wrote in her notebook.
"Trois cafés et trois gâteaux au chocolat".
"Three coffees and three chocolate cakes."
Elle s'éloigna vers la cuisine.
She walked away toward the kitchen.
Ses chaussures faisaient des bruits doux sur le sol en bois.
Her shoes made soft sounds on the wooden floor.
"C'est un bel endroit", a déclaré Sarah. "Oui", répond Anna.
"This place is nice," said Sarah. "Yes," said Anna.
"Restez calme".
"Quiet."
Ils ont regardé par la fenêtre.
They looked out the window.
Une femme est passée avec un petit chien.
A woman walked by with a small dog.
Le chien s'est arrêté pour renifler un arbre.
The dog stopped to sniff a tree.
"Parfois, le silence est bon", dit Tom. La serveuse est revenue avec leur café sur un plateau.
"Sometimes quiet is good," said Tom. the waitress came back with their coffee on a tray.
Les tasses étaient blanches et propres.
The cups were white and clean.
La vapeur est montée du café.
Steam rose from the coffee.
"Les gâteaux seront prêts dans une minute", dit-elle.
"The cakes will be ready in a minute," she said.
Anna a pris sa tasse à café.
Anna picked up her coffee cup.
Il était chaud dans ses mains.
It was warm in her hands.
"Parfait", a-t-elle déclaré.
"Perfect," she said.
