I live on the wall in the Queen's room.

Todos os dias, ela me faz a mesma pergunta:

"Who is the most beautiful?"

"You are, Queen."

The Queen became very angry.

Her face turned red.

Ela gritou comigo.

She screamed at me.

Então ela fugiu correndo.

Then she ran away.

Senti-me terrível.

I felt terrible.

Eu não queria magoar os sentimentos da Rainha.

I did not want to hurt the Queen's feelings.

Mas não posso mentir.

But I cannot lie.

That is not what mirrors do. Later, I heard bad news.

A Rainha enviou um homem para matar Branca de Neve na floresta.

The Queen sent a man to kill Snow White in the forest.

Mas o homem era bondoso.

But the man was kind.

Ele deixou Branca de Neve partir em liberdade.

He let Snow White go free.

A Branca de Neve encontrou uma pequena casa com sete camas.

Snow White found a small house with seven beds.

Sete homenzinhos moravam lá.

Seven little men lived there.

Eles eram mineiros.

They were miners.

Eles trabalhavam nas montanhas todos os dias.

They worked in the mountains every day.

Branca de Neve cozinhava e limpava para eles.

Snow White cooked and cleaned for them.

Todos ficaram felizes juntos.

They were all happy together.

Mas a Rainha veio novamente ao meu muro.

But the Queen came to my wall again.

"Quem é a mais bela agora?"

"Who is the most beautiful now?"

perguntou ela.

Tive que dizer a verdade novamente.

I had to tell the truth again.

A Branca de Neve ainda está viva.

"Snow White is still alive."

Ela ainda é a mais bela.

"She is still the most beautiful."

Os olhos da Rainha tornaram-se sombrios e assustadores.

The Queen's eyes became dark and scary.

Ela fez uma maçã envenenada.

She made a poison apple.

Ela se vestiu como uma velha.

She dressed like an old woman.

Ela foi procurar a Branca de Neve. Eu observei tudo da minha parede.

She went to find Snow White. I watched everything from my wall.

Eu não conseguia me mover.

I could not move.

Eu não conseguia falar para avisar a Branca de Neve.

I could not speak to warn Snow White.

Senti-me tão impotente.

I felt so helpless.

A Rainha deu à Branca de Neve a maçã envenenada.

The Queen gave Snow White the poison apple.

Branca de Neve comeu-a e desfaleceu.

Snow White ate it and fell down.

Ela parecia estar dormindo, mas não estava respirando.

She looked like she was sleeping, but she was not breathing.

Os sete homenzinhos estavam muito tristes.

The seven little men were very sad.

Eles colocaram a Branca de Neve numa caixa de vidro na montanha.

They put Snow White in a glass box on the mountain.

One day, a prince came.

He saw Snow White and fell in love.

A Rainha nunca mais voltou para me fazer perguntas.

The Queen never came back to ask me questions.

Acho que ela se mudou para longe.

I think she moved far away.

Agora reflito a luz do sol que entra pela janela.

Now I reflect the sunlight that comes through the window.

Às vezes mostro os pássaros lá fora.

Sometimes I show the birds outside.

Às vezes eu mostro as flores.

Sometimes I show the flowers.
