Uma noite, eu o vi colocar três folhas verdes debaixo do travesseiro de sua esposa.

One night, I saw him put three green leaves under his wife's pillow.

As folhas eram muito pequenas e brilhantes.

Cheiravam a flores da primavera.

They smelled like spring flowers.

"O que são aquelas?"

"What are those?"

perguntei.

"Folhas mágicas,"

"Magic leaves,"

ele disse.

Eu não conseguia acreditar.

I could not believe it.

Levei as folhas para o meu laboratório.

I took the leaves to my lab.

Estudei-as durante dias.

I studied them for days.

Eram apenas folhas normais de plantas.

They were just normal plant leaves.
