Anansi the spider lived with his wife Aso.

They were very poor.

One day, Anansi found magic beans.

But he did not want to share the fruits with his wife.

He wanted to eat them all by himself.

Cada día, Anansi iba solo al árbol.

Every day, Anansi went to the tree alone.

He ate and ate until his belly was full.

Then he went home to Aso. Aso was still hungry.

Ella le preguntó a Anansi,

She asked Anansi,

"Why are you not hungry anymore?"

Anansi le mintió a su esposa.

Anansi lied to his wife.

But Aso was smart.

Ella siguió a Anansi un día.

She followed Anansi one day.

She hid behind a rock and watched him.

She saw Anansi eating the sweet fruits.

She saw the magic tree.

She was very angry and sad.

Aso se fue a casa y esperó.

Aso went home and waited.

Cuando Anansi regresó, ella dijo,

When Anansi came back, she said,

"I know about your tree."

"¿Por qué no compartiste conmigo?"

"Why did you not share with me?"

"Soy tu esposa."

"I am your wife."

"Deberíamos compartirlo todo."

"We should share everything."

Anansi se sintió mal.

Anansi felt bad.

Se arrepentía de haber sido egoísta.

He was sorry for being selfish.

Él dijo,

He said,

"Tienes razón, Aso. Ven conmigo mañana."

"You are right, Aso. Come with me tomorrow."

Comeremos juntos.

"We will eat together."

Al día siguiente, fueron juntos al árbol.

The next day, they went to the tree together.

Recogieron frutos y los comieron.

They picked fruits and ate them.

Ambos estaban felices.

They were both happy.

From that day, Anansi learned to share with his wife.

They were still poor, but they had enough food.
