Vor langer Zeit lebte eine Spinne namens Anansi.

Long ago, there lived a spider named Anansi.

Er war sehr klug, aber auch sehr gierig.

He was very clever but also very greedy.

Eines Tages fand Anansi einen Zaubaum.

One day, Anansi found a magic tree.

Dieser Baum besaß alle Weisheit der Welt.

This tree had all the wisdom in the world.

Anansi wollte die ganze Weisheit für sich allein.

Anansi wanted all the wisdom for himself.

"Ich werde all diese Weisheit nehmen,"

"I will take all this wisdom,"

sagte Anansi.

said Anansi.

"Dann werde ich der klügste Mensch auf der Welt sein."

"Then I will be the smartest person in the world."

Anansi tat alle Weisheit in einen großen Topf.

Anansi put all the wisdom into a big pot.

Er band den Topf mit einem Seil an seinen Bauch.

He tied the pot to his stomach with a rope.

Dann versuchte er, auf den Baum zu klettern, um den Topf oben zu verstecken.

Then he tried to climb the tree to hide the pot at the top.

Aber der Topf war groß und schwer.

But the pot was big and heavy.

Er stieß immer wieder gegen den Baum.

It kept hitting the tree.

Anansi konnte nicht hinaufklettern. Sein junger Sohn beobachtete ihn.

Anansi could not climb up. His young son was watching.

"Vater,"

"Father,"

sagte der Junge,

said the boy,

"warum bindest du den Topf nicht auf deinen Rücken?"

"why don't you tie the pot to your back?"

Dann kannst du leicht klettern.

"Then you can climb easily."

Anansi hielt inne.

Anansi stopped.

Sein Sohn hatte recht!

His son was right!

Die Idee des Jungen war sehr klug.

The boy's idea was very smart.

"Warte,"

"Wait,"

dachte Anansi.

thought Anansi.

"Wenn mein junger Sohn so weise ist, dann besitze ich nicht alle Weisheit in diesem Topf."

Anansi wurde sehr zornig.

He threw the pot down from the tree.

Der Topf zerbrach in viele Stücke.

Die ganze Weisheit flog hinaus.

All the wisdom flew out.

Der Wind trug die Weisheit in alle Welt hinaus.

The wind carried the wisdom all around the world.

Sie gelangte zu jedem Menschen und an jeden Ort.

It went to every person and every place.

Deshalb haben alle Menschen etwas Weisheit.

This is why all people have some wisdom.

Manche Menschen haben Weisheit über die Landwirtschaft.

Some people have wisdom about farming.

Manche haben Weisheit über das Kochen.

Some have wisdom about cooking.

Manche haben Weisheit über das Bauen.

Some have wisdom about building.

Und deshalb kann kein einzelner Mensch alle Weisheit der Welt besitzen.

And this is why no one person can have all the wisdom in the world.
