Long ago, there lived a spider named Anansi.

Il était très malin, mais il n'était pas patient.

Un jour, Anansi entendit parler d'une vieille femme sage qui vivait dans la forêt.

Anansi trouvait cela ridicule.

Mais ses amis se moquèrent de lui.

Anansi se rassit.

La graine ne bougea pas.

On ne peut pas les précipiter.

Anansi observa la petite plante.

Il se sentait heureux et serein.

« Je comprends maintenant »,

dit Anansi.

« La patience est importante. »

À partir de ce jour-là, Anansi essaya d'être plus patient.
