Il y a longtemps, vivait une araignée nommée Anansi.

Long ago, there lived a spider named Anansi.

Il était très intelligent mais aussi très avide.

He was very clever but also very greedy.

Anansi voulait garder pour lui seul toute la joie du monde.

Anansi wanted to have all the joy in the world for himself.

Un jour, Anansi entendit parler d'un homme extraordinaire appelé le Jongleur de Joie.

One day, Anansi heard about a special man called the Joy Juggler.

Cet homme pouvait jongler avec des boules de bonheur pur.

This man could juggle balls of pure happiness.

Quand les gens l'observaient, ils ressentaient une grande joie et riaient beaucoup.

When people watched him, they felt very happy and laughed a lot.

Anansi pensa,

Anansi thought,

« Je veux ces boules de joie. »

"I want those joy balls."

Alors je serai la personne la plus heureuse du monde.

"Then I will be the happiest person in the world."

Alors Anansi partit à la recherche du Jongleur de Joie.

So Anansi went to find the Joy Juggler.

Il prit toutes les boules et s'enfuit vers sa maison.
