Le chant entra dans le chaudron.

Anansi était heureux.

Il rapporta le pot chez lui et le cacha.

He took the pot home and hid it.

Désormais, lui seul pouvait entendre le beau chant.

Now only he could hear the beautiful song.

Mais quelque chose de terrible arriva.

But something bad happened.

Sans son chant, la rivière devint triste et cessa de couler.

Without its song, the river became sad and stopped flowing.

Les plantes commencèrent à mourir.

The plants began to die.

Les animaux n'avaient pas d'eau à boire.

The animals had no water to drink.

Tous les animaux de la forêt vinrent vers Anansi.

All the forest animals came to Anansi.

« S'il vous plaît, aidez-nous, »

"Please help us,"

Anansi vit à quel point tout le monde était triste.
