Then he would take their food and money.

All the people were afraid.

"Isso é verdade?"

Então ele se tornou um cavalo veloz.

He changed into a small bird.

Ele ficou cada vez menor até se tornar uma pequena aranha.

He became smaller and smaller until he was a tiny spider.

Rapidamente, Anansi tirou um pequeno frasco.

Quickly, Anansi took out a small jar.

Ele capturou a pequena aranha lá dentro e fechou bem a tampa.

He caught the tiny spider inside and closed the lid tight.

"Me deixe sair!"

"Let me out!"

gritou o Metamorfo de dentro do jarro.

cried the Shapeshifter from inside the jar.

"Não,"

"No,"

disse Anansi.

"Você foi cruel com o meu povo."

"You were mean to my people."

"Agora você deve ficar neste frasco."

"Now you must stay in this jar."

Anansi levou o jarro para longe da aldeia.

Anansi took the jar far away from the village.

Ele a colocou debaixo de uma grande pedra onde ninguém poderia encontrá-la. A aldeia estava segura novamente.

He put it under a big rock where no one could find it. The village was safe again.

As pessoas agradeceram a Anansi por ser tão esperto e corajoso.

The people thanked Anansi for being so smart and brave.

A partir daquele dia, todos se lembraram de que ser orgulhoso demais pode trazer problemas.
