He found a big hole in the ground.
He covered it with leaves and grass.
No one could see the hole now.
The next day, everyone came to watch.
Anansi told Kweku to meet him in the forest.
"Lotteremo qui,"
"We will wrestle here,"
disse Anansi, indicando il buco coperto.
Anansi said, pointing to the covered hole.
Kweku walked to the spot.
He fell right into the deep hole!
He could not get out.
"Aiutami!"
"Help me!"
Kweku chiamò dal buco.
Kweku called from the hole.
Ma Anansi ballava intorno al buco.
But Anansi danced around the hole.
"Ho vinto!"
"I won!"
"Ho vinto!"
"I won!"
"Sono il più forte!"
"I am the strongest!"
he shouted.
The people heard what happened.
They were very angry with Anansi.
"Non hai vinto in modo leale,"
"You did not win fairly,"
dissero.
they said.
"L'hai ingannato."
"You tricked him."
"Questo non è essere forti."
"That is not being strong."
"Questo è essere disonesti."
"That is being dishonest."
Anansi si vergognò.
Anansi felt ashamed.
He helped Kweku out of the hole.
He said sorry to everyone.
From that day, Anansi learned that being honest is better than trying to look strong.
