Anansi e il Veggente del Futuro

Molto tempo fa, viveva un ragno intelligente di nome Anansi.

Era molto intelligente ma anche molto avido.

Ha sempre voluto sapere tutto.

He always wanted to know everything.

Un giorno, Anansi sentì parlare di una saggia vecchia donna che poteva vedere il futuro.

lied Anansi. The old woman smiled sadly.

"Then I cannot help you,"

she said.

Anansi became angry.

"You must tell me the future!"

said Anansi. The old woman laughed.

"You already have,"

she said.

"When you helped that child, you made a better future for everyone."

Anansi understood.

The real magic was not seeing the future.

The real magic was making the future better by being kind.

From that day on, Anansi used his cleverness to help others.

And he was truly happy.
