Anansi and the Joy Juggler
Anansi il ragno scopre qualcuno nel suo villaggio che può far ridere e sentire felici le persone in modi magici. Ma quando questa persona speciale scompare, Anansi deve trovare un modo per riportare la gioia nella sua comunità.
Molto tempo fa, viveva un ragno di nome Anansi.
Long ago, there lived a spider named Anansi.
Era molto intelligente ma anche molto avido.
He was very clever but also very greedy.
Anansi voleva avere tutta la gioia del mondo per sé.
Anansi wanted to have all the joy in the world for himself.
Un giorno, Anansi sentì parlare di un uomo speciale chiamato il Giocoliere della Gioia.
One day, Anansi heard about a special man called the Joy Juggler.
Quest'uomo riusciva a fare giocoleria con sfere di pura felicità.
This man could juggle balls of pure happiness.
Quando le persone lo guardavano, si sentivano molto felici e ridevano molto.
When people watched him, they felt very happy and laughed a lot.
Anansi pensò,
Anansi thought,

"I want those joy balls."

Così Anansi andò a cercare il Giocoliere della Gioia.
So Anansi went to find the Joy Juggler.

The Joy Juggler threw bright, colorful balls in the air.

He waited until night when everyone was sleeping.

Then he crept to where the Joy Juggler kept his magic balls.

He took all the balls and ran away to his house.

But when Anansi tried to juggle the balls alone, something strange happened.

The balls became heavy and dark.
Non brillavano più.
They did not sparkle anymore.
Anansi si sentiva triste invece che felice.
Anansi felt sad instead of happy.
Perché non funzionano?
"Why don't they work?"
Anansi si chiese.
Anansi asked himself.
Il giorno dopo, Anansi vide la gente del villaggio.
The next day, Anansi saw the village people.
Sembravano tutti molto tristi.
They all looked very sad.
Nessuno stava sorridendo o ridendo.
No one was smiling or laughing.
I bambini non giocavano.
The children did not play.
Il Giocoliere della Gioia sedeva da solo, con aria preoccupata.
The Joy Juggler sat alone, looking worried.
Allora Anansi capì.
Then Anansi understood.

Joy was not meant to be kept by one person.

Joy was meant to be shared with everyone.

Anansi felt sorry for what he did.

He took the magic balls back to the Joy Juggler.

said Anansi.
"I took your joy balls."

The Joy Juggler smiled.

"Thank you for bringing them back, Anansi."

"Would you like to help me share joy with everyone?"

Anansi nodded.

Together, they juggled the balls.
"Vorresti aiutarmi a condividere la gioia con tutti?"
The balls became bright and beautiful again.
Anansi annuì.
All the people came to watch.
Everyone laughed and felt happy.
From that day on, Anansi learned that sharing joy makes everyone happier, including himself.
