Anansi andò prima dal suo amico Coniglio.
Anansi went to his friend Rabbit first.

"Can you trust me?"

They all said no. They remembered times when Anansi did not keep his promises.

He went back to the old woman.
"Nobody trusts me,"
he said.
"What can I do?"
The old woman smiled.
"Trust is like a spider web,"
she said.
"You must build it slowly, one thread at a time."

He helped Rabbit fix his house.
He gave Elephant new tools.

This time, all five friends said they trusted Anansi. The old woman gave Anansi the magic box.
But now Anansi was different.
He used the box to help his friends, not just himself.
Anansi learned that trust is the most important magic of all.
