Mas a árvore é muito perigosa.

But the tree is very dangerous.

Tem espinhos afiados e abelhas furiosas.

It has sharp thorns and angry bees.

"Eu te ajudarei,"

"I will help you,"

eu digo.

I say.

"Mas você deve me prometer uma coisa."

"But you must promise me something."

"Qualquer coisa!"

"Anything!"

diz o homem.

says the man.

"Quando sua filha estiver bem, traga-a para me visitar."

"When your daughter is well, bring her to visit me."

"Estou muito sozinho."

"I am very lonely."

O homem promete.

The man promises.

Voo para a árvore alta.

I fly to the tall tree.

As abelhas tentam me ferroar.

The bees try to sting me.

Os espinhos tentam me cortar.

The thorns try to cut me.

Mas eu sou rápido e pequeno.

But I am fast and small.

Eu consigo a flor mágica.

I get the magic flower.

O homem está muito feliz.

The man is very happy.

Ele pega a flor e corre para casa.

He takes the flower and runs home.

Os dias passam.

Days pass.

Semanas passam.

Weeks pass.

O homem não volta.

The man does not come back.

A filha dele não me visita. Estou triste e zangado.

His daughter does not visit me. I am sad and angry.

Uso minha voz mágica para cantar um feitiço.

I use my magic voice to sing a spell.

O feitiço me faz crescer e ficar mais forte.

The spell makes me grow bigger and stronger.

Agora sou tão grande quanto uma águia.

Now I am as big as an eagle.

Voo para a casa do homem.

I fly to the man's house.

Vejo sua filha no jardim.

I see his daughter in the garden.

Ela está saudável e bela agora.

She is healthy and beautiful now.

"Você deve vir comigo,"

"You must come with me,"

eu lhe digo.

I tell her.

"Seu pai quebrou a promessa dele."

"Your father broke his promise."

A menina está assustada, mas vem comigo.

The girl is scared, but she comes with me.

Voamos de volta ao meu jardim.

We fly back to my garden.

No início, ela chora todos os dias.

At first, she cries every day.

Mas lentamente, ela aprende a amar o jardim.

But slowly, she learns to love the garden.

Ela fala com as flores.

She talks to the flowers.

Ela dança com as árvores.

She dances with the trees.

Ela aprende as minhas canções.

She learns my songs.

"Melody, I want to stay here forever."

I am so happy.

My song is so full of love that it breaks my spell.

Volto a ser pequeno.

I become small again.

Mas agora eu não estou sozinho.

But now I am not lonely.

A menina fica comigo.

The girl stays with me.

Cantamos juntas todas as manhãs.

We sing together every morning.

We are the best of friends.
