Num laboratório silencioso, Yuna procura uma pequena semente escondida no sangue humano, uma semente que pode tornar-se em qualquer célula sanguínea de que o corpo necessite. Após anos de falhas cuidadosas, ela encontra-a, e crianças muito doentes começam a sarar.

Deep inside a quiet laboratory, a scientist named Yuna was searching for something very small.
Ela procurava a semente do próprio sangue.
She was looking for the seed of blood itself.
Cada gota de sangue contém muitos tipos de células.
Every drop of blood holds many kinds of cells.
Mas escondidas entre elas havia sementes especiais que podiam crescer em qualquer tipo de célula sanguínea.
But hidden among them were special seeds that could grow into any kind of blood cell.
Yuna chamava-lhes as células-mãe.
Yuna called them the mother cells.

Finding them was like finding one particular grain of sand on a very long beach.
