Deep beneath the ocean, whales were singing.

Then they did something more: they went to the shipping companies and asked for quiet corridors — stretches of ocean where ships would slow down and turn their engines low.

In those corridors, the whale songs grew longer again.

Indra listened, and when the long notes came through the headphones, they sat very still and cried a little.
