Die Ameise und die Taube

An einem heißen Tag ging eine kleine Ameise zum Fluss, um Wasser zu trinken.

One hot day, a little ant went to drink water from a river.

Die Ameise war sehr durstig.

The ant was very thirsty.

Die Ameise versuchte zu trinken, doch sie fiel ins Wasser.

The ant tried to drink, but he fell into the water.

"Help me!

"Hilf mir!", rief die Ameise.

Help me!" cried the ant.

Eine Taube saß in einem Baum nahe dem Fluss.

A dove was sitting in a tree near the river.

Sie sah die Ameise im Wasser.

She saw the ant in the water.

Die Taube wollte helfen.

The dove wanted to help.

Die Taube hob mit ihrem Schnabel ein Blatt auf.

The dove picked up a leaf with her beak.

Sie ließ das Blatt ins Wasser fallen, nahe der Ameise.

She dropped the leaf into the water near the ant.

"Klettere auf das Blatt!", sagte die Taube.

"Climb on the leaf!" said the dove.

Die Ameise kletterte auf das Blatt.

The ant climbed on the leaf.

Das Blatt trug ihn an das Ufer des Flusses.

The leaf carried him to the side of the river.

„Gern geschehen", sagte die Taube.

"You are welcome," said the dove.

Am nächsten Tag kam ein Mann mit einem Netz zu dem Baum.

The next day, a man came to the tree with a net.

Er wollte die Taube fangen.

He wanted to catch the dove.

Die Taube sah den Mann nicht.

The dove did not see the man.

Die Ameise sah den Mann.

The ant saw the man.

Die Ameise wollte der Taube helfen.

The ant wanted to help the dove.

Die Ameise lief zu dem Mann und biss ihn in den Fuß.

The ant ran to the man and bit his foot.

"Autsch!" schrie der Mann.

"Ouch!" shouted the man.

Die Taube hörte den Mann rufen.

The dove heard the man shout.

Sie flog schnell davon.

She flew away quickly.

Die Taube war in Sicherheit.

The dove was safe.
