Le loup déguisé en mouton

Un loup affamé vivait près d'une ferme.

A hungry wolf lived near a farm.

Chaque jour, il regardait les moutons manger de l'herbe dans le champ.

Every day, he watched the sheep eating grass in the field.

Le loup voulait attraper une brebis, mais le berger les observait toujours avec attention.

The wolf wanted to catch a sheep, but the shepherd always watched them carefully.

"J'ai besoin d'un plan", pensait le loup.

"I need a plan," thought the wolf.

Un jour, le loup a trouvé une vieille peau de mouton sur le sol.

One day, the wolf found an old sheep skin on the ground.

Il l'a mis sur son corps comme un manteau.

He put it over his body like a coat.

Il ressemblait à un mouton!

Now he looked like a sheep!

Le loup entra dans le champ avec les autres moutons.

The wolf walked into the field with the other sheep.

Le berger ne l'a pas vu.

The shepherd did not see him.

Les autres moutons ne savaient pas qu'il était un loup.

The other sheep did not know he was a wolf.

"C'est parfait!" pensa le loup.

"This is perfect!" thought the wolf.

"Maintenant je peux attraper un mouton facilement".

"Now I can catch a sheep easily."

Mais cette nuit- là, le berger avait besoin de viande pour le dîner.

But that night, the shepherd needed meat for dinner.

Il regardait ses moutons dans le noir.

He looked at his sheep in the dark.

Il a choisi le plus proche: le loup déguisé en mouton!

He picked the closest one - the wolf in sheep's clothing!

Le berger a emmené le loup.

The shepherd took the wolf away.

Le loup ne pouvait rien dire car alors tout le monde connaîtrait son secret.

The wolf could not say anything because then everyone would know his secret.

Une leçon à tirer: si vous essayez de tromper les autres, vous risquez de vous tromper vous- même.

Moral: If you try to trick others, you might trick yourself too.
